Scared & Disturbed..

My man suggested we go for a movie. It had been quite some time since our last outing and I guess it wouldn’t help to lend our support to the film industry in substance. Well, of course we pretty much do not have a choice after our “wow-what a steal” DVD player priced at RM126 conked out. I’m not complaining much coz things could have been worse if it conked out after our one year warranty period.

Scanning through the movies now playing in theatres, I only managed to come out with ‘The Exorcism of Emily Rose’ as a likely choice. Not wanting to waste money just because the trailer looks good, I decided to surf the net to find out more.

When I did a search, I came out with this article. As I read through in the dead of the night, a sudden fear simply overwhelmed me. I dunno what it was…. It wasn’t even the movie trailer, it was simply an article on the real events in which this movie was based. I guessed looking at the girl whom the Emily Rose character was based, simply was too real for comfort. When you watch a movie, you know its fictionous. But, to look at the photo of the girl, I suddenly realize it is not mere fiction. This was someone who was very much alive and not very different from you and me. In fact she looked so alive and pretty…..so happy.

I was scared. I told my man and he calmly told me “better don’t watch. It is not good to be scared. The devil might just attack you sensing your weakness…..”. Diu, that was reassuring.

Look, before you get the wrong impression I am such a coward, let me tell you this… I am NOT. Don’t know what came over me. Well, I’ll give a rundown on the horror movies that did make me a little paranoid in the past….

OK... people, do let me know what gives you the creeps. Which movie?

So, dat mens u never got to see the movie lah, diu. Me never into spooky films. Now with Gordon, lagi no-no. Sometimes, advertisements with very gan-cheong music and flashy fast scenes will also make him run to me with a concerned look on his face. But out of sheer curiosity, i may watch uncle ho's version of the emily rose.

The movie is based on an actual event of Anneliese Michel, A Bavarian girl who died during exorcism. Anyway, it's a good movie!
